GTEK Flotation Cell
Description
Flotation machine, which is also called flotation separator, can be used to achieve specific separations from complex ores such as lead-zinc, copper-zinc, etc. Initially developed to treat the sulphides of copper, lead, and zinc, the field of flotation has now expanded to include the oxidized minerals, non-metallic ores and fine coal. Flotation machine can forms different bank to be applied for rouging, scavenging and cleaning concentration.
Working Principle
The motor drives the impeller through V-belt, which produce centrifugal effect to form negative pressure, on one hand, sufficient air is inhaled to be mixed with slurry, on the other hand, slurry and chemical reagent are mixed, at the meantime, the bubbles are micronized and make the mineral particles easier to stick on the bubbles. The mineral is then usually transferred to the froth, or float fraction, and then scraped by the scraper, leaving the gangue in the pulp or tailing.
